Yasser Ranjha, the current president of the students’ union said that

“We’re hoping to have our biggest elections turnout this year, but it’s going to be down to the candidates to get out the vote.”

Nominations for the elections close at noon on the 14th of February and potential candidates can pick up nomination packs from the students’ union reception at City Campus or download the packs online at http://www.leedsmetsu.co.uk/elections.

Any student can also put forward questions for referendum to decide students’ union policy by submitting a question to put to students.  The full details of this can also be found at the students’ union’s elections website.
