October looks awesome, with some real treats in store for any fans of super good music… and I have a few of recommendations of my own!

Wednesday 3rd, Azealia Banks will be playing at our very own Leeds Met! She has exploded onto the music scene this past year, with a filthy mouth and dirty beats (I refer to 212 in particular!) anyone who has a ticket to this sold out event will, I’m sure, be bumping uglies with the best of them!

 

 

Bat For Lashes on 25th October! I am properly looking forward to seeing this super snazz lady, at Leeds Met also, pat on the back for the great shows this month! I’m sure the feather headdresses and multicolored eye shadows will be out in force in support of the multi-instrumentalist, dream pop songstress. Her new album “The Haunted Man” (available for pre-order now; http://www.batforlashes.com/) is released on 15th October, so look forward to some new material on this tour! In the mean time, here’s one of my old favourites…

 

 

Okay, so it feels like this gig has been sold old since even before it was announced! Alt-J will be playing Cockpit on the 28th and well done to anyone who managed to get a ticket. Former Leeds College of Art Students, their album “An Awesome Wave” has been playing on repeat in my house since it’s release and I wouldn’t be surprised if I could say the same for the rest of Hyde Park! I think this would defintitely be my NO. 1 pick for the month. Any fans of the band will surely be familiar with” Breezeblocks”, so here’s the official video for y’all to enjoy!!
