The time is drawing close to tomorrow night`s fashion event and special evening at the Baracoa Luxe Bar.
Event Management students from LMU have worked closely with local established fashion designers to bring together this exciting show on Thursday 16 February starting at 6:00pm and running through to 10:00pm.
This promises to be a must attend occasion and will feature a guest DJ and a number of local boutiques showcasing their fashion designs on selected models, including Kee Boutique and Label. Our own local student hairdressers, ‘Architect`, who recently have been nominated for the Independent Leeds Therapy Awards, will be at the event to provide style and flair.
As well as local businesses presenting their work, this is a great opportunity for Leeds students to gain hands on experience working for an important cause and support ing the Alzheimer’s Society who are leading the fight against dementia which can affect so many of our loved ones.
Simon Wallace, Area Fundraising Manager for Yorkshire & Humber said:
“Alzheimer’s disease and all other forms of dementia have been described as the biggest health and social care challenge of our generation – so it is fantastic to see younger people becoming so engaged with our cause. They have worked extremely hard on this project – and it is shaping up to be a really great event.”
A raffle will be held on the night for gifts kindly donated by a number of local organisations.
This is your chance to get involved, support fellow students and make the charity event a big success.
Tickets for the event are available now at a discounted rate or at the door on Thursday evening.
