The SU has a whole load of societies for people interested in all these things split into 5 different sections, including General Interest, Active, Faith and Culture, Political and Campaigning and Course Based Societies .

‘I would 100% recommend every fresher to have a look around the society stalls at freshers fair and at least sample some of the great student run societies the university has to offer.

Dont feel afraid to try something new, as normally you can never know until you try, you might end up liking it!

You can get involved with current societies by signing up at the Freshers’ Fairs on both campuses, on September 12th and 13th 10am-4pm, as well as throughout the year by contacting society leaders via the Leeds Met  SU Societies page, where you can also see a full list of the current societies.
