So you went home for the Easter break, indulged into your favourite meals that your mum lovingly cooked for you and ate lots chocolate without feeling guilty and had a smashing time.

But now that you’re back you noticed that suddenly your favourite jeans aren’t buttoning it up and that great shirt you usually wear is just that bit too tight. If this sounds like you, below are some simple yet very effective tips and tricks on how to stay healthy and trim!

  • Walk Or Cycle Instead Of Catching The Bus

The weather is getting better and taking a walk will not only increase your daily calorie burn but also will help you save money!

  • Cut Out Fizzy and Drink Lots Of Water Instead

Recommended intake is 2 litres but the more the better! Water will improve your skin complexion, digestive system and help your body to get rid of harmful toxins.

  • Limit Your Alcohol Intake To Once Or Twice A Week

If you do drink, try to go for the less sugary options like dry white wine and spirits with diet tonic water.

  • Cut out as much sugary foods as possible

If you do get a very bad chocolate craving swap milk chocolate for dark chocolate because it is packed full with antioxidants and releases energy slowly.

  • Drink Green Tea

Green tea increases the rate at which we burn calories and fat, and it will also provide your body with lots of natural antioxidants giving you energy and improving your overall health. There are flavours out there to suit everybody!

  • Eat Fruit And/Or Vegetables with every meal

Fruit and vegetables not only provide you with essential vitamins and minerals but they also release their sugars slowly so you feel fuller for longer!

  • Try Medidation/ Yoga

It focuses on your breathing and will help you relax and deal with every day pressures such as deadlines and hangovers. Yoga is probably the most relaxing form of exercise and it benefits not only your waist line but your overall health. There are some great tutorials on the internet if you are a first timer.

  • Dance Dance Dance

Do it in the kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or whilst walking down the street! Dancing is a fun way to unwind and burn those calories.

  • Join The Gym
