FASHION TIP OF THE WEEK
Ladies it’s time to get your amour out as this season embraces the re-emergence of the stud trend. From Versace and Givenchy to Burberry’s studded trenches, stud is the new black! This year however there is a slight change to the trend as the studs are rounder than before, embracing more of a feminine feel rather than the usual punk. This latest trend is a great way to add some frosting to your attire without going all out girly with jewellery.
From studded slipper loafers to studded high heels, you can go as extreme as you want with this trend, either adding select items to your existing wardrobe giving a sophisticated yet tough edge to your outfit, or going all out stud galore!
For a simple take on the trend buy key up to date pieces, such as a studded scarf or a pair of leggings that you can mix and match into your existing wardrobe. For a softer look mix your selected studded piece with different textures and fabrics such as a wooly jumper.
If you like this trend and want to add some studded bling to your wardrobe, you can trust Topshop to have what you need. Primark have also hit the studded trend hard with their ultra fashion forward limited edition collection, featuring leather and studs at a student friendly affordable price.
If the drawstrings have been pulled a bit tight lately (you know being students and all!) don’t worry! Lucky for us this trend is an easy one to recreate ourselves. If you have a leather jacket which just isn’t up to speed for this season, jazz it up by applying your own studs rather than buying new. Similarly this can be done to an old pair of black boots giving them a completely new look.
