Are you an aspirating model or fashion designer? Do you absolutely love anything fashion related? Well here is your chance to get involved and add something extra to your CV. If you are neither of the above but just cannot get enough of fashion, then this is an event not to be missed.

Johnny Cheung, a fellow student at Leeds Met University is taking fashion into his own hands, literally!  The Leeds based student will be hosting a fashion show in October with all proceeds going to UNICEF. The event (date yet to be confirmed) will be held in LMU events hall in the Portland building, City campus. The night will consist of a catwalk show, preceded by an auction of donated pieces as well as some of the clothing that will be showcased on the night. The show will be accompanied by a music completion, where 3 pre -elected aspiring musicians will be performing for the guests votes, bringing an enjoyable conclusion to the fashion show. But the night will not end there, there will also be an after party held at one of the popular clubs of Leeds where staff, sponsors and attendees alike will be able to enjoy the success of the show.

The fashion show is currently being sponsored by Red Bull and also has the support of many local designers; Collin Stuart Footwear (Victoria Secret), Lisa Ham, Nicola Jane Milinery (specialises in headpieces), Genevieve Orsi, Ursula Melanchez , Bo Carter, Ewa Domanska; nominated Leeds fashion designer of 2011 and Oliver Proudlock , with his clothing line Serge DeNimes, as seen in the hit show Made in Chelsea. Makeup artist Debbie Armitstead and local photographer Emily Nicolle Bailey have also offered their support for the event.

The team are constantly on the lookout for potential designers or students, who would like the opportunity to showcase their work. This is a great opportunity for any student wanting to gain some experience and get a foot through the door in the competitive fashion world. There will also be model castings. These will be held on the 14th and 15th of March between 3-6pm, in the LMU events hall. So if you think you have what it takes to strut down the catwalk then come along and try out.

For aspiring musicians there is a great opportunity there for you too. Music students are encouraged to forward a track on to Johnny. The three best tracks will perform on the night of the fashion show. The winner, which will be down to the guests vote, will receive a 6 month contract with music agency Clode Epm!
