Beach Goth is a genre which pulls it’s influence from Surf, 60′s California Rock and a heady dose of Psychedelia, featuring the sounds of heavy reverb guitar riffs and voice effects. Bands such as The Growlers and Wavves have pioneered and explored this sub-genre, which was born and has been nurtured in the up and coming scene of new music, rife in California! I’m totally digging the sounds of these bands and with a new album out in November The Growlers are definitely on the rise.

<<<  With inspiration from this Beach Goth shoot by The Growlers, featured on their much sought after and not so readily available Beach Goth T-shirts, The Met online and DOGTOWN at Wire have teamed up to create a Halloween themed Beach Goth shoot!! All the way from the delight that is Blackpool Beach… I’m not sure the photoshoot fully portrays how truly awful the weather was on this fateful day!!
